The West Central Ohio Safety Council, founded in 1955, is co-sponsored by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Division of Safety Services, and the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce. Our mission is to promote the importance of safety, health, and wellness by increasing awareness among businesses and communities throughout the Greater Lima Region and West Central Ohio.

The West Central Ohio Safety Council holds its monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 AM at the Howard Johnson in Lima. We are your go-to resource for occupational safety, health, and wellness, including workers’ compensation information and other essential resources.

Membership Dues
$250 – ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES FOR FY2026
(July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026).
Each annual membership allows two people to attend all monthly meetings at no cost. If a member registers more than 2 people, the charge is $10 for each additional person. The non-member charge per meeting is $25 per person.
Registration for each meeting is required due to the need for a headcount for setup and food.

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) provides occupational safety, health, and ergonomic training courses for employees across Ohio. These classes are offered both online and in person at BWC’s regional service offices throughout the state.
