The Lima Young Professionals is a diverse group of business leaders, under the age of 45, committed to building relationships and retaining talent among the young professionals in the greater Lima area. The Lima YP seeks to give Lima’s Young Professionals a voice in our community, in our businesses, and ultimately our future.
Why get involved?
The Lima YP will give you access to other young professionals, community leaders, and businesses throughout Lima and Allen County. Through the variety of events we hold each year, you’ll grow personally and professionally, making friends along the way. If you are looking to network and gather business leads, to plug into a community that might be new to you, or to make new friends in a community you’ve lived in your entire life, look no further than the Lima YP.
What is the age limit to become a member of the Lima YP?
YP members typically range from 18 to 45 years old, but membership is not limited to those falling within this age range. We welcome the “young at heart”, as well as all business professionals who are interested in networking with the area’s young people.
Can anyone join the Lima YP?
YP memberships are open to Chamber members and non-members alike. To become a member of the YP, simply fill out a one-page application and pay an annual fee of $50. Your membership includes free admission to all of our events, and gives you discounts at other YP programs.
A Variety of Events Keeps It Interesting!
Professional Development: Typically held the second Wednesday of each month, professional development luncheons are held at a variety of venues across the Lima area. Each meeting focuses on a different business skills and/or highlighting a business or organization in our area that is making an impact on the future of our community. We also allow time for networking to get to know your fellow YPs.
The Social Hour and Morning Coffee events: You will find the Lima YP at a different venues in the Lima area, for Social Hours and Morning Coffee events. These events have no scripted agenda and allow the members of the YP to mingle and network casually.
