A new pharmacy on Elm Street is filling scripts and filling the gap caused by the closure of Rite Aid pharmacies in Lima.
The Good Pharmacy’s mission is simple: Bring back the days of the neighborhood pharmacy, known for its kind greetings, quick service and familial atmosphere.
Located next to Westwood Fitness Center, the Good Pharmacy opened last August amid the fallout of the 2024 closure of Rite Aid pharmacies in Lima, Delphos, Ottawa, Ada and Kenton, which resulted in backlogs for patients whose prescriptions were transferred to the region’s remaining pharmacies.
The Good Pharmacy boasts same-day refills and free local delivery for patients who are unable to visit the pharmacy in person. Plans are also in the works for the pharmacy to join GoodRX, a free prescription drug coupon service, and to offer immunizations.
Next door to the Good Pharmacy are the Lima Men’s Health Clinic, Mannacare Health Systems and Positive Energy Wellness Aesthetics, which specializes in vitamins, weight loss supplements and aesthetic medicines like Botox — making the medical park a “one-stop shop” for wellness, Brunk said.
Cash and insurances are accepted.
